We love strange laws on B Mornings with Brooke and Adam, and I found a list of some of the strangest laws involving animals and pets from across the world. They range from the mildly regulatory like how in Germany, dog owners pay a monthly tax, which varies by breed and municipality. So, the kind of dog you have could impact your pocketbook more than just how much they eat.

And there are the oddly specific ones that must have a very interesting story behind them. In California, you can’t eat your frog if it dies during a Frog Jumping competition…but they don’t mention if you’re allowed to do so if it survives.

If two horses are about to get amorous, they have to get a room or a barn or a stall in Ohio. They can’t just do their thing near a public street or an alley. Makes me think someone had a bad experience with their horse neighbors way back when.

Check out “10 Unusual Pet Laws from Around the Globe” for the rest of laws. Including a very specific law about goldfish in Rome.
