Cargo ship lands in man’s backyard.

You know how we seem to have a lot of vehicles hitting buildings in Lincoln. Imagine a Cargo Ship rolling up on your backyard and barely missing your house by inches. Yep, a 443 foot long ship went off course, went right up the beach, and set itself just outside the bedroom window of John Helberg in Norway.

He was awake when it happened, but didn’t notice because he was watching TV. His neighbor saw the closing in at full speed, though, and tried to warn John. The neighbor rang the doorbell and knocked on the door, but John ignored it. According to John, “The doorbell rang at a time of day when I don’t like to open.” The neighbor finally warned John by calling.

By the way, John does live near a bay, with a beach leading to his house, but it’s not even close to a port. They haven’t disclosed as to what caused this mess. But, I can tell you that same ship went off course and grounded itself in a different place just 2 years ago.
