Bathe in compost? Would you try this wellness trend?

The newest beauty trend that everyone just HAS to try is……..getting buried up to your chin in stinky compost. Sounds fabulous, doesn’t it?

It’s called the Cider Enzyme Bath. And, actually, the smell is being described as a dark earthy odor mixed with pencil shavings. Also, the compost that they literally bury you in, up to your head, is warm and steaming. So you get all that dirt smell, warmed up, with your nose just an inch or two above it.

The story I was reading about this in was primarily taking about a spa in California. This is what the toss into the compost: fragrant Douglas fir and Port Orford and rice bran, which activates the composting process. And in their own words, after that, billions of organisms are in the compost eating up stuff…… while you sit in it. The therapy is supposed to heat, soothe, and relax the body along with aromatherapy from the mulch. In Korea and Japan, they claim it can help with eczema and hair loss.
