A man living in Canada won 3 and a half million dollars only to have his girlfriend….. I mean, ex- girlfriend now, literally disappear with the money. He’ suing her, but will probably lose.
For starters, he’s not a Canadian citizen with a valid government ID. So, they wouldn’t allow him to accept the money. So he signed the ticket over to his now ex-girlfriend. The Canadian lottery then wrote a check to her. They even showed up for the promo photos where they get the giant check. Then she put the money in one of her accounts because he didn’t have one. Later, they were supposed to meet at a hotel room they were sharing. She never showed. She didn’t return calls. He got ghosted big time.
It gets better. He went looking for her in her usual haunts and eventually found her in bed with another guy. Not only did she steal his money. She was spending it partying with other random dudes. Anyway, that was pretty much the official breakup and she blocked him on her phone and all social media, and got the Canadian equivalent of a restraining order against him.
He’s now suing her and the Canadian Lottery because they were the ones who told him to have her sign the ticket.
I guess not everyone’s nice in Canada. I mean, she could have left him enough money to replace all of his missing teeth. That’s not one of my bad jokes. See for yourself on the video below.
