A few weeks ago, 14 year old Cody Chalmers in Arizona was just enjoying the weather on a bike ride, dreaming about an electric bike he’d been saving up for. Then, he noticed a wallet that someone had dropped on the ground. Inside was $300 cash and credit cards.
He had the chance to take the money and run off with it towards that electric bike shop with no one the wiser. I think a lot of us would expect never to see lost valuables again.
Instead, Cody, and his mother tracked down the owner and gave it all back. And I applaud him for it. Carrie Strecker, who the wallet belongs to, was impressed too. So much so that she posted about it on social media and then bought Cody the $3,500 electric bike he had been saving for.
I love hearing stories like this. I lost my wallet on a ski slope years ago. AND, it was the last day that they were open. I was sure it was buried under 5 feet of snow, about 8,000 feet up a mountain. I got it back in the mail, with everything still inside, about 2 weeks later.
