Road buckles, sends car airborne. Watch vid here.

It got soooo hot Saturday, that a Lincoln street buckled at 56th and Old Cheney and had to be closed down for the weekend.

When a road buckles, an area will swell, expand, and push upwards until it breaks. It actually happens a lot more than people realize. In fact, just yesterday, somebody caught video right when a street in Missouri buckled……….. which was 1 second before a car drove over the spot. The car had no time to react and went airborne. It’s like watching the behind the scenes of a movie car stunt. It’s one of those things you just go “Ohhhh!” when you see it the first time. By the way, would car insurance cover damage done by a road that buckles and turns you into the next version of The Fall Guy? Or, is that considered an act of God?  Here’s that video.
