Who are the unhappiest workers in the United States?
A new study found that the least happy job is…………….. Pharmacy workers. I would have guessed something more labor intensive. But, this study is based on 1 and a half million people surveyed. Only 14 percent of pharmacists gave a positive assessment of their job. Thinking about it, they do have to work in and environment where they constantly deal with sick, unhappy people who want the product immediately. The next 3 unhappiest are postal services, animal health, and medical clinics. Again, people wanting instant gratification
I’ve managed retail businesses. That can be hugely stressful. One year, there was a rumor that a new Manheim Steamroller album was out at Christmas. There wasn’t. Hundreds of angry people called me a liar, threatened me, and made other threats because I told them there wasn’t. I know Chip Davis. I told them that. It didn’t matter.
Anyhooo. The happiest workers, according to this study are……….people who work in marijuana stores and smoke shops. They’re scored a 91% positive job assessment. Other happy places include catering, coffee shops, and dental work.
