This is a question that recently showed up an elementary school’s math quiz. Parents posted it online and it’s gone viral because no one can figure it out. See if you get it.
“Dina is baking. The cake bakes from 11 o’clock until half past 11. The brownies bake from 10 past 11 until 25 to 12. Do you agree with Dina? Explain your answer.”
I didn’t read it all at once. I went one line at a time, crunching the numbers. And then I hit the “Do you agree” part and decided that the answer is, “Dina is baking marijuana brownies and sharing them with the teacher”.
The question was given to 7 year-olds, Some parents gave it to math genius Bobby Seagull. He was baffled by it and posted it. No one seems to have a good answer. I haven’t been able to track down the school where this was done, but I figured it’s somewhere in the quantum realm where 2 plus 2 equals Muppets. Everyone knows that.
