China has held the 1st ever international sporting event where all the …… athletes… are robots.
Also, they were terrible. Except the gymnastics robots. Those could do some cool tricks the way they could bounce off the ground. But, watching the rest compete in soccer, running, and what appeared to be kickboxing made little league teams look professional.
The soccer playing robots often fell down and then trampled all over each other. If they had to turn around, it was more like a 15 point turn in a car. No, in a bulldozer. The fighting robots tried to throw kicks and, more times than not, ended up just falling over backwards. One of the racing robots malfunctioned, veered off the track, and knocked over some humans in the process.
Or maybe it didn’t malfunction. I just saying that maybe it also had an escape map and a one way plane ticket to a non-extradition country.
By the way, experts are saying that by 2050, there will be tens of millions of human like robots in households. And by human like robot, I’m not referring to Taylor Lautner’s acting skills.
