Here’s an accident that could happen to any one of us at any time. A 40 year old man in Vermont had to be rescued after he………. Got stuck in a slide on an elementary school playground.
It’s one of those slides that corkscrews down and is also enclosed like a water slide. He didn’t get stuck because he was too big. The guy is actually kind of thin. He somehow got stuck with both his feet and his head pointing forward, down the slide. Think of someone bending over to touch their toes. Stuck right in the middle of the slide at the first turn.
It took firefighters 30 minutes to take the slide apart and get him out. They had to feed him oxygen because he was wedged in so tight. Also, it was super hot inside of it.
I don’t think he’d ever been on a slide before. Because any human who has ever tried to go down a school slide on a summer day has burn scars on their butt. Or, you end up fight legs full of fiberglass.
Also, I can’t be too hard on this guy. I ride by a lot of playgrounds when I’m out on bicycle rides. Every once in a while, I’ll stop and swing or climb on monkey bars if they’re high enough.
