Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) has announced that portions of several streets will close this weekend and into the start of next week. The closures are as follows:
- Westbound West Highland Boulevard between Northwest 2nd and Northwest 7th streets will be closed from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, August 23, for private property crane work. The recommended detour is Northwest First Street to West Fletcher Avenue to Northwest 12th Street.
- Eastbound “O” Street between 12th and 13th streets will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, August 24, for crane work. The recommended detour is 12th Street to “P” Street to 13th Street.
- “A” Street between 26th and 27th streets will be closed beginning Tuesday, August 26, for a lead water service line replacement. This work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, September 2. The recommended detour is 27th Street to South Street to 17th Street. StarTran Route 54-Veterans Hospital will be detoured during this closure.
