A 12 year old girl in Missouri has set up a lemonade stand……… to help pay for her own medical bills. This story is causing my allergies to flare up in my eyes a bit.
Ella has Cerebral Palsy and has been in a wheelchair since she was about 5. However, there’s a stem cell treatment that can help her walk again. She’ll need several procedures that cost $15,000 each, follow up treatments, and medical equipment.
Luckily, she’s been getting help from businesses in her area and donations to a Go Fund Me drive which has brought in $40k so far. One business has even been helping Ella sell cups of lemonade.
With the treatments, doctors think Ella could be walking again in 3 to 6 months.
