This morning on B Mornings with Brooke and Adam, we talked about something that hit a little too close to home—especially for me, because I love jerky.

If you’re a fellow jerky fan and shop at Costco or Sam’s Club, listen up: there’s a major recall on Golden Island Korean Barbecue Pork Jerky.

Over 2.3 million pounds of this delicious snack are being pulled from shelves because they might contain metal fragments. Yep, actual wiry bits of metal from a conveyor belt used during production. Not exactly the kind of crunch you want in your jerky.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The affected jerky comes in 14.5 oz and 16 oz plastic pouches.
  • Check the “best by” dates between October 23, 2025, and September 23, 2026.
  • Look for the USDA inspection mark with “M279A” on the packaging.
  • It was sold nationwide at Costco and Sam’s Club.

What should you do?

If you’ve got this jerky at home:

  • Don’t eat it.
  • Check the packaging for the dates and establishment number.
  • Toss it or take it back to the store for a refund.

No injuries have been reported yet, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. I know it’s tough to part with good jerky, but your teeth will thank you.
