Wearing Husker clothes at work on Fridays……. Almost every business in Lincoln lets employees go casual and wear Husker themed clothes on Fridays.
It’s the same for a friend of mine, EXCEPT that his boss only allows it on weekends of football games. Ergo, his boss said they couldn’t do it today. My friend pointed out that the Volleyball team is playing. The boss said it doesn’t count.
Doesn’t count??????????
That’s when I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to laugh or get angry. Because this boss obviously isn’t in the loop that the Husker Volleyball team is #1 in the nation, hasn’t lost a SET, not a SINGLE SET, in months, their games continually sell out, they have numerous national titles, are consistently in the Sweet 16 down to the Finals, and they filled Memorial freaking stadium for a game.
And not just Volleyball. The bowling, shooting, wrestling, gymnastics, and other sports are consistently ranked high. I think Bowling is #2 in the nation right now. They had just won a national title.
I mentioned this to several people here. Everyone was astounded that this boss isn’t allowing Husker gear to support the volleyball team. What do you think? I’d love to read your responses at the B107.3 Facebook page.
Our boss loves it when we wear Husker gear to work on Fridays to show support for the teams. I’m wearing this right now.
Anyway, game tonight at 9 right here on B107.3. Pregame at 8. Game against UCLA at 9. Then a 2 o’clock game against USC on Sunday. Pregame at 1.
