A guy named Nick DiGiovanni who is a social media “food content creator”, just created the world’s largest sushi roll. It was 7 feet, 1 inch wide. It contained 2,000 pounds of sushi rice, 500 pounds of salmon, 500 pounds of cucumbers, thousands of sheets of nori, gallons of rice vinegar, and enough sesame seeds to fill a room. They said it was the equivalent of 45,000 regular sushi rolls.
Do you know how long it would take to fillet 500 pounds of salmon and cucumbers?
My mouth is watering at the thought of this thing. Not joking. As I’m talking on the radio, I am having to take extra swallows so I don’t sound all mushy mouthed. Sushi to me is like donuts to Homer Simpson. I’m sure that if Grey Whale and Blue and the rest of the sushi spots in Lincoln teamed up, they could show the world the meaning of Husker Spirit and set a new Sushi Roll World Record! What do you say guys? You can do it on my show….. with me there….. to maybe make sure everything tastes ok, yes? Please.
My favorite part of this is what they did with this Godzilla sized sushi roll after finishing. They donated it to a homeless shelter in Boston.
