By Maria Mickelson Jan 27, 2026 | 4:39 PM

Dinosaurs and Disasters, one of Lincoln’s most exciting Earth science learning events for families and adults, returns to Morrill Hall!

All the action takes place Saturday, February 7th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at UNL’s Morrill Hall. This year’s theme is “Science and Society: How does science impact your everyday life?” — Attendees can explore the facts and myths of dinosaurs, disasters, and science with hands-on activities led by museum educators and UNL scientists.

Entrance to the party is included with your museum admission! Free parking is available in the large parking lot in front of Morrill Hall. Would you like to WIN a family 4-pack of tickets? Enter to win using the contest form below!

The whole museum will play host to a variety of activities and crafts, all included with your admission! Become a paleontologist, create a “moonquake”, learn about black holes, watch volcanoes erupt, explore the museum with a scavenger hunt, and more! Full list of activities are available online.

Bring an item to donate to Lincoln Little Free Pantries and receive a special entry into a raffle for fun prizes. Most needed items include food items not damaged by extreme temperatures, cereal, sugar, flour, feminine hygiene items, toilet paper, and paper towels.
