Funeral Arrangements Set for Nebraska Serviceman Killed Overseas

Public visitation has been scheduled for Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, the U.S. Army Reserve solider and Bellevue native killed earlier this month in Kuwait during Operation Epic Fury.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Omaha.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

Tietjens, who was 42, served in the military since 2006 and received multiple honors, including the Purple Heart and Meritorious Service Medal. He is survived by his wife, son, parents and brothers.

Memorial contributions are being directed to the family in support of his son.
