Lincoln Transportation and Utilities has announced that portions of three streets will close beginning the week of May 11. LTU says 84th Street from Rokeby Road to a half mile south will have a southbound lane closure on May 11 for the installation of a new water main.
Northbound and southbound traffic will be maintained on 84th Street using a temporary signal. The closure is scheduled until late summer, weather permitting. West South Street from Park Boulevard to First Street will close from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 11 for railroad crossing repairs.
In addition, 40th Street from Randolph Street to “O” Street will have a northbound closure on May 12 for the installation of a new water main and pavement repairs. The closure is scheduled until fall 2026.
Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures.
