Just before 5:30 this morning, LFR Crews responded to the Burger King at 11th & Cornhusker.
Public Information Officer MJ Lierman tells KLIN News, “The Fire started in the fryer, and it had extended up through the stack to the roof. Engine 1 and Truck 1 were on scene really quickly. Truck 1 went to the roof with a water can and extinguished the fire around the stack and in the stack.”
Lierman confirmed there is no damage estimate yet available and, “The Health department has been called because the power had to be shut off and it involved the fryer.”
