We mostly think about flooding as a danger when there’s heavy storms. But, have you ever thought about the mud being dangerous?
Last week, Kathryn Woessner of Minnesota thought about it…….. for 3 days…. while her body was literally stuck in mud so that she couldn’t move. She had somehow gotten her van stuck in mud in a clearing of a remote area, outside of some small towns. She got out hoping she could walk away, but ended upon her back, almost totally submerged, unable to move. They said all you could see was the round part of her face, the mouth, nose, and ears.
People were searching for her, but she was 80 miles from home. Luckily, a couple of guys who were off roading saw the van, then saw her, and thought she was dead.
Kathryn was alive and taken to a hospital.
Even more astounding, the guys who found her said they’ve been out in that general area for years, but had never taken the trail the led to Kathryn. In fact, it was a spur of the moment decision. They’d already passed it by, but that day, decided okay, today we’ll ride down there for the 1st time.
