Nebraska Man Arrested After White House UFC Planned Attacks

By Tom Stanton Jun 16, 2026 | 3:09 PM

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen is praising law enforcement following the arrest of several people accused of plotting a deadly attack at Sunday’s UFC event held at the White House. “One of the alleged ringleaders was identified by the FBI in Nebraska and credited the Nebraska State Patrol for providing significant support during the FBI-led operation that resulted in the suspect’s arrest.”

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, multiple suspects were arrested across the country, including an Omaha man.  Court documents show Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez faces federal charges of conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States.

According to court documents, Alvarez allegedly operated under the online moniker “Shepherd” and served as a key organizer of the plot, using a Signal chat to direct staging locations, sniper and drone positions, escape routes and communications protocols.

Law enforcement officials arrested Alvarez Sunday in Western, Nebraska. Federal authorities allege the group planned to use drone delivered explosives and then open fire on survivors fleeing the scene. Pillen called the case a reminder that violent extremists can be found anywhere and said vigilance is essential to preventing attacks before they occur.
