Lincoln Police Looking For Shoplifter, Pair of Prowlers

By Tom Stanton Jun 24, 2026 | 6:00 AM

Lincoln Crime Stoppers is looking for help identifying a shoplifter and two people seen prowling around a Lincoln home.  The first case happened Friday, June 5th around 8pm at the Best Buy at 70th and ‘O” Street.

“Employees reported a man came into the store and pushed a cart of items to the restroom hallway,” says LPD’s Becky Keller. “Four minutes later, he exited the store with what they believed to be a missing laptop inside his sweater, as they found the empty box left behind in a bathroom stall.”

Keller says they found other boxes also opened up and left behind, items such as a wireless mouse, a power bank, and two dash cams, which they believe he also had with him.  In total, over $1,700 worth of merchandise was reported to be missing.

The second case was reported on Thursday, June 4 when the victim got home from an out-of-town trip. “He noticed his garage side-door was kicked in and damaged,” Keller says. “He didn’t notice anything missing. He reviewed footage and found these two individuals walking out of his yard near 67th and Fairfax.”

Keller says they both had on backpacks. “While we know the footage isn’t the best, sometimes sharing the story helps us gain information that could help us identify these individuals, so we’re asking folks if they know anything about this incident to please leave a tip with Crime Stoppers.”
