A couple, Joe and Sydney, recently spent 10 days vacationing in Italy. Then, after a 10 hour flight back, while they were both exhausted and literally wearing sweatpants and tees, Joe proposed in their living room.

The proposal is is also on video which the entire world has seen. Also, people have thoughts about the whole situation. Thoughts like, “What were you thinking, Joe?”
Joe explained that it was all planned this way because it’s really hard to surprise Sydney.
And I kind of see his logic. If she knew that a proposal was inevitable, the most obvious thing in the world would have been during the long and romantic vacation. He was probably thinking that her reaction might have been kind of fake.
My favorite part is that Joe bought her a new pair of shoes in Italy and offered to put them on her feet so that she thought he was getting on his knees and the ring would pop out of the shoe. He did it to fool her.
Meanwhile, his friends set up a camera in their apartment with flower petals and candles. Their parents were watching online. And he proposed right after they got back and walked in the door. She later said that it was perfect and totally them.
