Motorists traveling through north Lincoln will encounter overnight ramp closures next week as bridge repair work continues.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation says the Cornhusker Highway ramp to southbound Interstate 180 will close at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, weather permitting. The ramp will reopen at 6 a.m. Thursday, July 2.
The same overnight closure schedule is planned for Monday, July 6, and Tuesday, July 7, with the ramp closing at 7 p.m. each evening and reopening at 6 a.m. the following morning.
There will be no signed detours during the closures. NDOT is advising motorists to plan ahead and use alternate routes.
The bridge repair project is being completed by Constructors, Inc., of Lincoln.
NDOT also reminds drivers to use extra caution in work zones, buckle up, and avoid distracted driving.
