A fourth and final juvenile has been taken into custody in connection with last week’s vandalism and theft at Kelly’s Produce in north Lincoln. Lincoln Police say a 15-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday and referred to juvenile court on felony charges of criminal mischief causing more than $5,000 in damage and theft by receiving between $1,500 and $5,000.

He also faces a misdemeanor theft charge. The investigation began after officers responded to Kelly’s Produce at 2904 North 48th Street on June 27. Surveillance video showed four juveniles arriving in a red minivan just before 5 a.m. Police say the group destroyed produce and equipment, stole merchandise, and left the scene in the vehicle.

Damage to the business was estimated at more than $5,200. A 15-year-old girl was arrested shortly after the incident, and the remaining suspects were identified with the help of tips from the public, including a parent who contacted police to identify their child.
