Lincoln residents will have an opportunity this week to weigh in on proposed streetscape improvements in two areas of the city. Planning and Development Services, Urban Development and Lincoln Transportation and Utilities will hold a public open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Auld Pavilion in Antelope Park. .
The open house will feature conceptual plans for the area near 33rd and “A” Streets and the area near 40th and Normal Boulevard. Residents can review potential improvements including safer pedestrian crossings, sidewalks, landscaping, lighting, public spaces, parking, bicycle facilities and signage.
There will not be a formal presentation. Instead, community members can talk with the project team, ask questions and provide feedback on the proposed designs. Officials emphasize the plans are not final. Public input will help refine the designs and identify improvements that best meet the needs of each area.
