Drivers heading to Lincoln’s Haymarket and Railyard this weekend should plan around street closures for Oktoberfest and the Pumpkin Run. Lincoln Transportation and Utilities says portions of seven streets will close between Friday and Sunday.
Eighth Street between O and P streets will close from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and again Saturday for Oktoberfest. The street is scheduled to reopen overnight between the two events.
For the Pumpkin Run, six street segments will close Sunday from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. They include Pinnacle Arena Drive between Eighth and N streets and Canopy Street between N Street and Pinnacle Arena Drive. N and P streets will close between Canopy Street and Pinnacle Arena Drive, while Q and R streets will close between Seventh Street and Pinnacle Arena Drive.
LTU advises drivers to use alternate routes and watch for people around the closures. Current street closure information is available on the city’s closure map.
