Westbound O Street will close between Ninth and 16th streets Monday, Sept. 28, for water main replacement work, Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced Friday. The work is part of Project O Street. Eastbound O Street will remain open between Ninth and 13th streets, and the intersections from Ninth through 13th streets will remain open to northbound and southbound traffic.
South 40th Street will close between Pioneers Boulevard and Calvert Street from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday for street repairs following emergency water main work. LTU recommends a detour using Pioneers Boulevard, South 56th Street and Calvert Street. StarTran’s Route 53-SouthPointe will also be detoured.
Three more closures begin later in the week:
- Southbound 10th Street between Charleston and T streets will close from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 29, for utility work. LTU recommends using Military Avenue, Antelope Valley Parkway, Salt Creek Roadway and Ninth Street.
- North 56th Street between Hartley and Knox streets will close Tuesday for utility work expected to finish Friday, Oct. 2. The recommended detour uses Adams Street, Touzalin Avenue and Fremont Street.
- Westbound Lincoln Mall between 13th and 14th streets will close Thursday, Oct. 1, for landscape maintenance expected to finish Tuesday, Oct. 6. LTU recommends using South 14th and L streets.
