7th grader spends thousands to buy Christmas gifts for foster kids

This is so heartfelt and impressive!

Jonathan Werner is 12 years-old, a 7th grader, and is an active Boy Scout.  (“Active” is an understatement!)

For the second year in a row, Jonathan bought hundreds of presents (totaling thousands of dollars) to gift over 100 children in foster care and shelters.  In fact, this year he bought over 600 presents and spent $11,300.  WOW!  He sold popcorn and saved the money to afford the presents.  Again, WOW.

Why did he do this?  Jonathan’s dad, Steven, was in foster care between the ages of five and 12 . . . and doesn’t recall having a special Christmas until after he was adopted.  Inspired by his dad, Jonathan decided to venture his own philanthropic project to ensure other foster kids *would* have a special Christmas.

Absolutely amazing.  Check out the full story here (photos included).
