A freak accident on the Nebraska Innovation Campus seriously injured one person just after 8:00 Friday morning. LFR’s Nancy Crist says crews had to free a woman who was trapped under her own vehicle.
She says the victim was outside her vehicle while it was warming up and it somehow slipped into gear. “It lurched forward on it’s own and went up an embankment,” Crist says. “Once it lost momentum, it came back down the hill and ran over the individual.”
It took crews about 15 minutes to get the car off the victim. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
