A man who served in World War II is going to be competing in the Senior Olympics this October. Werner Schlaupitz just turned 100 years old. To celebrate, he hit the gym where he bench pressed 100 pounds, one pound for every year he’s been around. His trainer says he never misses a day. Werner says the work outs help him stay energetic. Werner says his secret to a long life is that he doesn’t drink or smoke. I think the visits to the gym might be part of it too.

By the way, you only have to be 50 to sign up for the Nation Senior Games. That means Tom Brady can jump in the Senior Olympics just 5 years after leaving the NFL.
