Elderly cats get a cat retirement village to live in. Video in blog.

Its a retirement village for old cats. There’s a home in England that doubles as a charity and takes in elderly stray cats. But they don’t just bring them inside and feed them. They’ve built an entire cat size village for the cats to live in. They have small cat houses with small windowsills that have small potted plants. There are scratching posts and other cat amenities inside of each house. There are volunteers that take care of the cats 24 hours a day, every day, all year. And once a month, school kids stop by and read to the cats.

These cats have an amazing retirement plan. What if humans could be offered something like this. Early in our careers we could choose a 401K or a 401Kat. With the Kat plan you get to retire to a small village where servants let you do what you want all day, feed you, occasionally massage your back, and even picking up the business you do outside. You’d be living just like Billy Ray Cyrus.

Most cats live out their final days at the sanctuary, but a few do get adopted.
