B107.3 - Lincoln's #1 At Work Station

You’re never too old.

I ran across a story today about a 76 year old man who is really fit. He has the body of someone in their 30s or 40s. The surprise part is that he didn’t start working out until he was in his 60s. It made me think of a conversation I had with my father a few years ago. He’s had an artery that was 99% clogged, surgery on his rotator cuff, and other ailments. He said that if he’d been smart, he’d have worked out when he was younger like me. I said it’s never too late. I see more and more people in their 50s, 60s, 70,s and beyond on the bike trails of Lincoln and at the gym.

The guy I read about was in a deep depression after his wife passed. He finally realized that she wouldn’t have wanted him to sulk and sink into despair. He started working out which also helps with people’s moods and even improve on depression. Good for him.

Have you seen the movie “Boss Level” on Hulu? The star is Frank Grillo. See if you can find a picture of him without a shirt. He’s 55. Dave Bautista, the guy who plays Drax The Destroyer on “Guardians Of The Galaxy” is 52. Salma Hyek looks amazing at 54. I could go on and on. Age ain’t nothing but a number.

Anyway, here’s the story I was reading.
And here’s that shirtless Frank Grillo I mentioned.
