When I think about extravagant Hollywood spending, I’d never think Kevin Costner. But the man apparently blows through a lot of cash. His soon to be ex-wife is trying to get nearly a quarter million dollars a month in alimony. To prove that she deserves it, she’s listed some of his earnings and spending in court According to her, Kevin makes $1,537,000 a month. She states that in 2022 they spent $830,000 on gifts for other people. They dropped nearly $100,000 on gardeners, $22,000 on spa services, $34,000 on golf and club dues. The court papers also lists $64,000 on household cleaning, $12,000 on hunting dues, and more than $41,000 on food. They also bought a plane. Her main argument for the gigantic alimony payment is that she needs to afford this kind of lifestyle.

I can’t fathom that type of spending. Sometimes I imagine what it would be like to win a $500 million lottery and wonder what I’d buy. It’s be a second bicycle, a couple weeks in the Caribbean each year, and something nice for my wife. That’s about all that would change. There wouldn’t be any $34,000 to go golfing. Wait, there is one thing that would change. I think I’d buy a house just for our guinea pigs to live in.
