I’m giving a big “Way To Go” to Coneflower Creamery in Omaha. They were just voted as the best ice cream shop in the entire country by Yelp. The based the rankings on volume, ratings of reviews, and some other things. One Yelp reviewer posted, ““You know the ice cream is amazing when you show up on a 10-degree night and the place is packed. When we walked in, the smell was all that was needed.”
I’ve never been to Coneflower Creamery in Omaha, but I know that Lincoln has some great ice cream shops. I used to get scoops at Ivana Cone after dinner in the Haymarket and before catching a show. UNL Dairy Store always does a great job. And the experience of square cubes of ice cream and a retro toy atmosphere at Scoops is pretty cool. I haven’t had a chance to get to the other spots like 402 Creamery or Zesto, but anytime someone wants to send me samples of…….. every flavor, I’m game.
Here’s a video on how to make deep fried ice cream. You can show off by serving it at your 4th of July party.
