Lincoln Police say one person suffered minor injuries after a garbage truck collided with a car near 56th and O Street just after 6:00 Thursday morning.
LPD says the southbound truck driver ran a red light and struck the other vehicle. After the collision, the garbage truck ended up on the sidewalk in front of the Eyeglass World building, but no damage to the business was reported.
The truck driver was cited and released. The driver of the car that was struck was not seriously hurt.
