Lincoln Police have arrested a man in connection with a theft from a heating and air conditioning company near 48th and Superior last Saturday.   “A business employee observed on security camera an unknown male arriving in a Chevy Avalanche and remove a copper coil from an air-conditioning unit,” says Sergeant Chris Vollmer.

He says the video also captured the license plate number.  Just before 3:00 a.m. the following day an officer saw that vehicle near 60th and Havelock and conducted a traffic stop.  56 year old Clark Ellis was identified as the man in the security video and was arrested for theft by unlawful taking and possession of a controlled substance.

Vollmer says inside the vehicle they found other construction related items that they believe were stolen.  Police have yet to identify potential owners.  He says if any business has experienced a recent theft call police at 402-441-6000.
