I’ve already found a Christmas present to consider getting someone this year. Disney is releasing a box set that come with 100 Disney movies on Blu Ray in it. It’s part of their 100th anniversary celebration. It also includes a crystal Mickey ears hat. So, there’s that. Looks like it’ll be almost all of Disney’s fully animated movies including “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and every Pixar film. It will not have Mary Poppins or Kurt Russel’s hit “The Strongest Man IN The World” or the excellent Kurt Russel movie “The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes” or even the smash Kurt Russel film “The Barefoot Executive” which included a fine performance from a chimpanzee.
You can pre-order this Disney box set, that doesn’t include a single Kurt Russel movie, through Wal-Mart starting September 18th. It’ll be available for sale on November 14th. I haven’t found a definitive price, but it’s being said that it’ll probably be in the $1,500 area.
I’d reminded my wife that it’s about time to start thinking of Christmas presents this year. She simply replied, “Shut up.” Seriously though, 3 and a half months.
