AMC theaters is rolling out a plan to show new, never before seen movies at their theaters for only $5 a tickets.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut………… you won’t know what the movie is until the lights go down in the theater and the movie starts playing. Are you in for five bucks? Not me, but everyone knows I’m a miser. It’d be my luck to get stuck watching the latest stuffy British movie about butlers who make butter. I’d immediately start doing the math about how I could have used the fiver for a gallon of milk, generic peanut butter, and on sale bread.
Anyway, they’re calling it the “Screen Unseen” events. According to the website for the AMC Theater at Crossroads Mall in Omaha, there will be a “Screen Unseen” on November 6th at 7 that night. It also says it’s a PG-13 movie with a run time of 1 hour and 49 minutes. Maybe someone can figure out what the movie is from that. Maybe I’m the one who figured it out with a quick online search. I’m betting it’s “Your Place Or Mine” starring Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher. It’s a rom com that involves single parents. I’m not a fan of that genre. See? Milk, bread, peanut butter.
And yes, I know “Your Place Or Mine” was on Netflix, but has it EVER been seen in theaters?
Here’s a link to the page where you can buy tickets if you want to take your chances.
