Noah Where To Go (ah)

By Austin Michael Jun 17, 2021 | 7:15 PM

Apparently Noah’s Ark can’t handle the open ocean. Aad Peters, a guy in the Netherlands, has a replica of Noah’s Ark that was built based on specifications straight out of the bible. He filled it with bible themed exhibits and planned on making it a floating museum. But somebody rained on his parade. See what I did there?

The British government have doubts that it’s sea worthy. The 230 foot ark has already been to Denmark and Germany before it made it to Britain where the the British Maritime and Coastguard Agency impounded it. They’ve released a statement saying, “We do have concerns about the vessel and we cannot rely on the grace of God that it can be safely towed to Holland”.

I should mention that the thing never actually sailed on its own. It was built on a steel barge, where it sits and is towed around by a tug boat.

It’s not like the Brits don’t have cause for concern. Back in 2016, it was being towed into the port of Oslo where it crashed in to a Norwegian Coastguard patrol boat, it put a huge hole in the side of the ark.
