Groundbreaking new caps for ketchup. Ed Sheeran is super giddy about it.

By Austin Michael Mar 7, 2024 | 6:55 PM

Heinz Ketchup has designed a new cap for its plastic ketchup bottles. It only took nine years, 185,000 product development hours, 45 versions, and $1.2 million.

You see, these are super special ketchup caps because they can be recycled! A lot of plastic products, like the current caps, can’t be reused. These puppies though……… they’re made with just one ingredient which makes them ideal to be reprocessed. The cap design doesn’t really look any different. So you won’t be able to tell the difference. But, Earth will know because it’ll cut down on about 300 million caps from going into landfills every year.

They say that now they’ve figured it out, other products will probably follow suit: shampoos, liquid soaps, maybe even toothpaste caps. Just think about everything you squeeze stuff out of.
