Remember last year when I warned everyone about AI worming its way into McDonald’s drive-thrus at about 100 restaurants? Ronald is pulling the plug. The original goal was to get people through faster with AI provided my Microsoft. McD’s hasn’t commented why they ended the partnership, but it has been widely speculated that it’s because the AI wasn’t the smart kind of AI. There were widespread reports and videos of people trying to order things and it constantly getting the orders wrong. So, for now, it’s back to the way everyone likes it………. a high schooler trying to make enough money to buy a Camero.
