Now, I know stories about how much you appreciate and love your wife usually don’t start with, “She made up a story about having to be at work………”. Buuuuut, that’s how this one does.
Jenny told me she needed to leave for work at 7 this morning, saying they were having their yearly training about dealing with bank robberies. She works at a credit union.
It was a ruse. Jenny remembered that today is the official 15th anniversary of me working here at Broadcast House. Even I had forgot. So, when I got to work this morning, I was surprised to find that she had left a congratulations card in my studio.
That, by itself, would have been enough to make me feel totally special.
But wait, there’s more! She’d also left gifts in the form of my favorite snacks: jalapeno cheddar Cheetos, beef jerky, sweet and spicy peanuts, M&M to mix with the peanuts, and licorice that’s filled with fruit flavored goo stuff.
Also, a papier-mâché bouquet that makes a nice centerpiece between microphones on my counter.
I got no jokes to go with this. I just wanted to share how special she is and hope that you have someone just as nice.
