HGTV has named a city in Nebraska as one of the most charming towns in America. They put together a list of best small towns per state. Then they expanded to most charming towns across the country. Nebraska City made both of those.
This is what HGTV had to say about Nebraska City, “Home to the Missouri River Basin Lewis and Clark Center, and a former station on the Underground Railroad, Nebraska City, Nebraska, is especially lovely in the fall. The changing colors of the trees, u-pick apple orchards, and cozy lodgings draw visitors. Don’t miss Arbor Day Farm, where you can take a ride through the trees and stop to pick apples from Kimmel Orchard to eat fresh or turn into pies.”
I can vouch for the Arbor Day Farm Stuff. It’s a pretty neat place you can spend a weekend at. They have a hotel on the farm.
They list Decorah for the best small town in Iowa. In Kansas, they chose Linsborg. It’s known as Little Sweden, USA.
HERE’S THE LINK to a run down on all of the small towns they picked in each state.
