A Lincoln Police officer spotted a man wanted for driving on a suspended license at the Kwik Shop at 2801 N 48th Street around 10 Tuesday evening. The officer knew there was a warrant for 33 year old Brandon Forke and saw him get out of the vehicle. He was taken into custody.
The officer saw drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle and the handle of a firearm sticking out of a backpack in the back seat. That led to a search and officers found five bags of marijuana totaling 259 grams, 16.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 8 doses of LSD, 3.2 grams of methamphetamine, and 12.7 grams of THC wax. Officers also located 9mm handgun and an AK 47 with 4 loaded magazines with 115 rounds.
Forke was booked for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm with drug law violations.
