If you heard my interview with celebrity chef Mario Rizzoti yesterday or listened to it on my blog, then you heard me bring up mac and cheese flavored ice cream and his disdain at the thought of it. Seriously, he’s going to to make fun of me about mac and cheese for years to come.
That said, I just want to point out one little thing that’s come to my attention since he was on the show yesterday………. The new Macaroni and Cheese Flavored Ice Cream sold out in less than an hour. 2,000 pints at $12 each were all gone in under 60 minutes. They did say that more will be available.
By the way, I still plan on buying some vanilla ice cream this weekend and doing two experiments. One, I will simply mix some cheese from a box of Kraft Mac and Cheese into the ice cream and see what it tastes like. The other will involve me making mac and cheese and then adding noodles and all to vanilla ice cream to see what it tastes like. I’ll share the results next week.
