Do you know what the “bulbous bow” on a large ship is? It’s the big, red thing that’s on the front of ships at water level.
Now, imagine a giant passenger ship sitting in the water and ice in Antarctica. Got it?
Now, focus on the bulbous bow, lightly bobbing up and down in that freezing water……….. with a ballerina, complete with tutu, dancing on it, just a couple of feet from falling into the deadly waters and probably getting eaten by a polar bear.
It happened and is on video. The ballerina is delicately tip toeing her way around the bow. It’s beautiful to watch. It’s amazing to understand where it’s happening, how it’s happening, and how it is such a unique experience and moment in time.
I just wanted to share it with everyone. You can see some of it at my blog at B1073.com.
