Back to the Mac and Cheese flavored ice cream thing……….. I spent a couple minutes trying to create my own at home over the weekend. I had grand plans, but I didn’t have as much time as I wanted. So, it came down to me buying vanilla ice cream and pouring some cheese powder from Kraft Mac and Cheese in the ice cream and stirring at all together.
And, it was kind of good, but not where I wanted it to be. The cheese powder didn’t dissolve into the ice cream that well. The ice cream started melting too much before it could. There were little clumps of the cheese powder, sort of like cheesy sprinkles.
The new plan is to dissolve the cheese into a small amount of milk and cream. Then stir it into the ice cream and maybe refreeze it a little.
Next weekend. Maybe after a peach margarita.
