Announced this afternoon… John Cook is now with the Omaha Supernovas volleyball team. However, not as a coach. He’s now a co-owner and the General Manager of the team.
Coach Cook, Owner Cook and GM Cook just don’t have the same ring. He’ll always be Coach Cook to me. Anyway, Coach Cook released a statement that says, “After more than 30 years of coaching, I knew I wanted the next chapter to be just as impactful. Becoming the General Manager of the Omaha Supernovas is exactly that opportunity. The energy around our sport has never been higher, and the Supernovas are at the forefront of that momentum.”
It also said that he’ll will oversee all team operations, including player and coaching staff signings.
And since B107.3 does a lot with the Supernovas, I’m hoping we’ll get more chances to interact with him.
