Casio……. The company that made calculator watches cool is putting out AI controlled toy pets now. They just released and Emotional Support Guinea Pig in the US which has an AI personality.
You know that I love guinea pigs and always suggest getting a rescue to love. However, they take more specialized care than most people know. So, before getting a couple at the pet store….. yes, a couple, because they are social animals that will literally get depressed and sick if they are alone…. maybe get some practice in with the Casio version.
It’s the same size and shape, responds to touch and talk, and they say it can develop into one of over 4 million possible personalities depending on how you treat it.
It’s already been in Japan for a year and is huuuuuge there. They aren’t cheap at $429. But, a real guinea pig is about $50 at the pet store and requires hundreds of dollars in food, accessories, holding areas, and vet bills. Actually, it’s cheaper in the long run.
And as I mentioned, it might be better for the littles in your family.
